Siguru awarded Bernard and Fern Bazin Fellowship

Wahutu Siguru has been awarded the Bernard and Fern Badzin Graduate Fellowship in Holocaust and Genocide Studies for 2013-14. His proposal is titled "Western African Media Representations of Mass Violence: The Case of Darfur." Congratulations!

Congratulations Dr. Hussemann

Jeanette Hussemann defended her dissertation, "Negotiating Justice: Defendant Perspectives of Plea Bargaining in American Criminal Courts," on April 2, 2013. Her advisors are Professors Candace Kruttschnitt (University of Toronto) and Josh Page. Dr. Hussemann is a Research Associate at the Justice Policy Center in Washington, D.C.

Mahadeo awarded Ford Foundation Fellowship

Rahsaan Mahadeo is the recipient of the 2013 Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship. This fellowship is sponsored by the Ford Foundation and administered by the National Research Council of the National Academies.

The National Science Foundation awarded Rob Stewart funding for his project on criminal records in the college admissions process. This NSF program (GRFP) recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students with a three-year annual stipend, a cost of education allowance for tuition and fees, and a one-time international travel allowance. Congratulations, Rob!
