Updated BS Degree Approved!

We are very excited to announce that an updated B.S. degree program has been approved by the Board of Regents! You can see the new B.S. program options here. If you're interested in learning more about this undergraduate degree program, please check in with Bobby Bryant. Current BS students will be able to either switch to the new BS or stay under the degree program they have already declared.

Dr. Shannon Golden in Reach Magazine

Shannon Golden (Ph.D 2013) is featured in the CLA publication Reach. Dr. Golden is currently a post-doc at Notre Dame.

Kelly and Goldman Honored

Erin Kelly will be honored as Scholar of the College and Michael Goldman as the recipient of the Arthur "Red" & Helene V. Motley Exemplary Teaching Award, at a reception on Tuesday, April 8th at 3:30 pm in the Best Buy Theater in Northrop Auditorium. RSVP

Ron Anderson Wins Grant for Retirees

Professor Emeritus Ron Anderson received a Graduate School Professional Development Grant for Retirees, for help with his edited book, World Suffering and the Quality of Life (under contract with Springer). He has over 30 chapter authors from all over the world, including Yanjie Bian writing on suffering in China.

Devika Narayan (cohort 2013) has been awarded a Global Spotlight Doctoral International Research Grant. Funding is provided from Central Administration to support international scholarly initiatives at the University.

Ph.D. Student Rob Stewart on MPR about Restore the Vote

Members of the Restore the Vote Coalition say a bill that would allow felons who have been released from prison to vote is a civil rights issue that will allow thousands of people, many of them minorities, to have a say in the political process. Read the story on MPR webpage.
