With the short time frame, and our truck delays on day 1 and 2, we've caught up significantly.    But, there are still tons of things yet to do.  The hardest thing about this contest is keeping focus on the end, and trying to balance the quality and the deadlines.

ICON Solar House Hits the Road

With cornfields in the background, University of Minnesota's ICON Solar House caravan begins their eastward trek to compete in the U.S. Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon.  The team will begin assembling the house on the National Mall October 1st.

ICON Solar House Packs Up for Move to DC

The landscaping containers are loaded on a flatbed trailer and the crane prepares to lift a roof module off the house as the team continues to disassemble the ICON Solar House in preparation for the trip to Washington DC.  The house will depart Sept. 28.

UMN ICON Solar House Moves Into the Sun

University of Minnesota's ICON Solar House has moved from the construction site at the ReUse Center to it's sunny location on the St. Paul campus.  A flurry of activity continues with work on the systems, decking and cabinet installations.
