Alumni invited to Oct. 17 Washington, D.C. reception
University of Minnesota alumni are invited to a special Washington, D.C. Area Alumni & Friends Reception held in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon.

Public Tours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., National Mall
Reception: 5:30 to 7 p.m., Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (Lerner Room, 3rd floor), National Mall at 7th and Independence S.W.
At the reception, student team leaders of the University of Minnesota ICON Solar House team will share inside information on the design process, contest, and unique features of the University's ICON Solar House. The house is open for tours earlier that day.
Also at this event, The Hirshhorn Museum's new director, alumnus Richard Koshalek (Architecture '65, M.A. Art History '68), will talk about his new role and his vision for the museum's future.
