The Solar Decathlon brings together 20 international schools to build and operate a solar house on the National Mall in Washington DC.
Chosen as one of 20 schools to compete in 2009, the University of Minnesota has used the Solar Decathlon competition as a means to put forth new ideas while learning and building on lessons from previous house designs.
