Proposals sought affecting direct patient access in long term care

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services seek proposals to launch a program that will develop a system to conduct national and statewide background checks for employees who have direct patient access in long term care facilities. Up to 3 awards will be made ranging from $1.5 to $3 million depending upon the scope of the project. Deadline to apply is Jan. 31. See the announcement for more information.
