NIH funds Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts

The National Institutes of Health is offering two types of grants that will aid in recovery efforts for institutions affected by Hurricane Sandy. RFA-OD-13-199 is an administrative supplement to either extend up to two years a current grant or to provide a one-time stipend to replace damaged or lost equipment as a result of the storm. The other opportunity, RFA-OD-13-005, is an R21 grant to restore pilot research or data that may have been lost amid the disaster. Letters of intent are due May 19 for the R21; application deadline is June 19. Deadline to apply for the administrative supplement is June 12 but letters of intent are not required.
