Announcing the publication of Spectacle and Topophilia: Reading Early Modern and Postmodern, edited by David R. Castillo and Bradley J. Nelson (Vanderbilt University Press), volume 38 in the Hispanic Issues series. The volume explores the intersection between theories of the modern spectacle and findings in the fields of urban studies, landscape studies, and, generally speaking, studies of space. As with most volumes published in the series since its inception in the mid-1980s, this one registers strong connections to Minnesota.
