Michael Arnold's dissertation research was mentioned in a recent feature article of the Portuguese daily Público, which describes the return of Portuguese neo-fado group, Ovelha Negra. Michael's interest in the group and enthusiasm for their music are credited by Paulo Pedro Gonçalves with helping to inspire the group's latest album entitled Ilumina.
