The SPH Roundtable Series: Public Health 2050, "The Changing Face of Minnesota Communities Now through 2050: How Will Public Health Respond?" will feature Minnesota State Demographer Tom Gillaspy as the keynote speaker. There will also be a panel discussion and time for a Q&A.

Where: Cowles Auditorium, Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, 301 19th Ave S.

The Center for the Study of Politics and Governance welcomes Governor Pawlenty and Minnesota business and health care leaders to discuss the potential for health reforms that build on private markets and on the implementation of reforms passed during the 2008 legislative session. A reception will follow the conference.

2009 Deinard Memorial Lecture on Law & Medicine

What: "The Emergent Logic of Health Law"

Where: Theater at Coffman Memorial Union

Professor M. Gregg Bloche, MD, JD, a visiting professor of law at the University of Chicago, Professor of Law at Georgetown University, and Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution will be the keynote speaker for the 2009 Deinard Memorial Lecture on Law and Medicine. The event is free and open to the public.
