My goodness!
What ever happened to my blogging!?! My sincerest apologies…
My master’s project has literally gotten the best of me. I have spent the last 2.5 weeks cooped up in the SPHere running chi-square tests and analyzing my data only to find out that I incorrectly coded the two most important variables! Ahhhhhh!
I don’t need to start over completely, as I do have some decent graphs that I will put into my appendix. Nothing like working backwards!
Despite my time re-learning SAS, I have been able to spend time watching a lot of missed TV while EXCELing my way through my data: endless episodes of hilarious Ellen, the tight competition between the Davids on American Idol and the most amazing talent I have ever seen on Dancing with the Stars (for those of you who have not been keeping up, Marlee Matlin amazed millions as she boogied her way across the dance floor despite her inability to hear the music).
In addition to finishing up the semester and working on my master’s project, a couple of weeks ago I found time to spend the afternoon with a friend at the Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race Exhibit at the Minnesota Science Museum. I found the portrayal of eugenics, euthanasia and anti-Semitism that occurred in Nazi Germany in the 1930s and 40s an absolute tragedy. The Holocaust should be remembered by all and for more information, please visit:

Last weekend I took another break from my studies and went to see Gabriel Anderson, our fellow blogger, dance in Waterbridge at the Southern Theater. Similar to his performance earlier this year, I was totally awed by his nimble and athletic performance. He should truly be commended for the obvious hard work he puts into his modern dance career! Way to go, Gabe!
Finally, this weekend I spent a day in Northfield to catch up with old college friends and to watch the Carleton Alumni Rugby games. It was quite nostalgic and fantastic to see old friends.
Tomorrow is graduation and officially my last break before I go back to finishing my master’s project. As I promised my advisor, I will cut-back on Tevo and be mindful of the work that lies ahead…
Happy graduation to all SPHers!!!
