Center For Social Media Video on Copyright and Remixing of New Media

The Center for Social Media (ASOC) at the American University has been at the forefront of helping to parse the complex world of copyright in the "digital age." One of their recent reports (2008) deals with the "Code of Best Practices in Fair Use for Online Video". While their recommendations on remixing is by no means legal advise (fair use is a defense, so only a court can determine whether a fair use application is valid on copyright infringement), this report certainly helps.
