Useful way to document international course experiences?
NYT article on b schools teaching social entrepreneurship, includes Yale SOM. Go Tony!
Interesting academic article, possible to model in the classroom? Introduce Nash Eq. concept to MGHMT 1001? Could be interesting while they are taking econ. Other bribery activities?
Good web content for class. http://www.bloomberg.com/innovators/index.html
Daniel Pink as quoted today in Tom Friedman's great 10/21/09 NYT column today on education. And DP's new talk on motivation and ROWE. How do we create ROWE into the classroom?
One of my MGMT 6050 groups used prezi for their presentation. An interesting alternative to boring power points. Good examples on their website.
Fast company article, could be of interest for students.

Interesting perspective on the web. interview and at TED
Here is a more recent youtube video, author of Here Comes Everybody.
His speaking style is particularly effective- posing questions, thought experiments, limited but clear AVs, lots of big ideas and very specific support for each point. He also seems genuinely curious about every question he asks.
Nice insights on how to become the next Google by creating unique, innovative culture. Can we model this in the classroom? Is it possible to inspire students to become "heat-seeking radar surfers"?
Great tribal exercise- how to include in 3010?
from June 2008 Entrepreneurship Educator Newsletter:
"Ideablob.com as a Classroom Tool
Avanta Corp. has created a website called ideablob.com where entrepreneurs and small business owners have a chance to win $10,000 each month for being voted the best idea by visitors to the site. Think of it as an on-line American Idol for business ideas. Several universities have begun to use this site in the classroom. Some faculties are having their students analyze the viability of ideas proposed at the site using techniques learned in their classes. Others are having their students develop ideas, post them at the site, and actively learn from the feedback offered by visitors to the site. Several of the monthly $10,000 winners have been college students. The ideablob.com site is a good fit for today’s college students who are active in social networking sites and prefer experiential learning."
This could be an interesting case or semester long project for 4050. Is it a better alternative to a textbook?
According to a NYT article, biometric studies of successful TV ads use a cognitive jolt to gain attention:
"Although winners of Lions are replete with emotional appeals meant to engage viewers, they also use what Ms. Moses called a “cognitive jolt, a twist or surprise, to earn interest."
This comes up in Sticky Ideas, Van de Ven research and 3M coversations about the difficulty of changing behavior. How to teach this? Or better, how to use it to teach more effectively?
Check for best practices
