19th Century Masterfile for us

Please look at the great new files just added to our 19th Century Masterfile subscription. Part V is US and UK Government Documents Indexes and US Patent Index. It includes several interesting indexes (NOT full text.) I am unable to find a statement about coverage of the Congressional Record File, but it also includes Cobbett and Hansard indexes for Great Britain (through 1830,) and also presidential papers indexes and Poore's Descriptive Catalogue. Give it a look. I don't know the status of cataloging for each title, but will check into it.

OK, I have contacted Paratext and got the answer to the coverage of the Congressional Record indexing. It covers 1789-1873. It also links to the full text, from (guess where!) American Memory at LC. So it is nothing new, but another way for folks to find the early CR online. I have made not attempt to compare the indexing here and at LC, but will assume LC is better. The one other part of this database which links to full text is the US Patents, again linking to free files online already from the source.
