Government Information Online

For a while now, there has been a pilot project called "Government Information Online" that provides national email and chat services devoted exclusively to government information. We are participating in the email component for its last 2 months. Doing so entails changing our email form to point to the GIO email form and then logging into the Questionpoint website to answer the questions that come to our email form.

This has the following results:
1. We will need to log into QuestionPoint every work day to check for questions in addition to Eudora for govref. Both browsers on the GPL refdesk computer have been setup to do so.
1.1 All questions that go through QuestionPoint will be stored in the QP KnowledgeBase.
2. Some questions may still come directly to govref@umn.edu, but not many.
3. All infopoint questions will still come to govref@umn.edu.

For the first week, I will do all the checking since I can't answer any questions about how the program works until we get a question... --Amy
