Tracing a state agency's history

You can trace a state agency's history (which may be necessary for its own sake or to get a long run of a particular publication) a couple of ways. The easiest way is through the Guidebook to State Agency Services. But if an agency changes its name or didn't exist during the publication period of the Guidebook? Well, there's another option. Using MNPals, and limiting to MHS, you can search for titles of "Agency History Record" with keywords for the current agency name. This is not limited to state agencies either; it also works for local governments.
