Eric Forbis continues to work on solving the problems students are having accessing Ovid from off campus. Here is Eric's latest update:
We've pinned the Ovid problem down- corrupt database- and I've run a program that should clean it up, but there may be yet another issue to deal with. We have to download and import batches of ID/password combinations periodically, and the last batch of 6000 records appears to be invalid. I've tried removing them from the existing records, but can't tell whether this will be enough till someone actually tries logging in. I'll be contacting Ovid today to get a replacement file, and we should have things back to normal soon.
Please keep in mind this this problem only effects Ovid databases, so you can offer PubMed as a possible alternative to Ovid MEDLINE for remote users.
