To Do List

First semester as grad student: Check!
GRE test: Check!
Join new church: Check!
Christmas shopping: Check!
Christmas card mailing: ummmmm....
PhD application: yeah.....
Lose 20 pounds: anyway.....

So, I've accomplised a few things in the past few weeks, but you can see there are still some blanks to fill in. Thanks to all for your helpful, insighful and invigorating feedback on our church membership quandry. We did decide to throw our hats in the ring even though not all the theological nuances have been worked out. We are comfortable with the church mission, vision, and leadership to the extent that we felt good about joining. It's been a great tension for us to wrestle with, and no doubt will continue to be so.

Hey, if that's the list, I have zero checked off there...oh so depressing... (though I don't really have the option to join a new church so one's done by default ;o))
