A man allegedly shot and killed his wife, his son, and two nieces in his home early Wednesday morning, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The gunman, whose name as not been released, allegedly killed the victims in a bedroom in his home in Marquette Park at 4:25 a.m., the Tribune reported. He also shot and wounded two others.
Family members identified the two wounded as the gunman's mother and nephew, the Tribune reported.
The gunman also tried to kill a 12-year-old girl who ran to tell the police about the incident, but he missed as he tried to shoot her, the Tribune reported.
The two wounded are in critical condition at a local hospital, CNN reported.
