For your final assignment, I'd like you to submit a paper, not to exceed 10 pages plus figures and references, that reviews some aspect of the Holocene climate history of your study region. The article should be double-spaced and submitted to me via email as a single integrated PDF.
Please ensure construct your article to emphasize a central main argument linked by multiple lines of supporting evidence. Don't submit a long-form annotated bibliography made up of a series of paragraphs summarizing a single paper.
Themes that you might address in your discussion include: (1) What are the most important features of the modern climate in your region? (2) What proxies are available in your region, over the time interval specified? How are they related to climate? and (3) How different were past climates from modern conditions? Why is that important?
Due: My inbox (stgeorge@umn.edu) by 9:30AM on Wednesday, May 9.
I will do my best to return a hard copy of your paper with my comments within the week of its submission.
