I believe that we need to keep up with technology because our students are so current on what is going on. We need to know this to be able to help and understand their needs. Students want us to help them so we need to keep updated so that we can.
This is reall cool if you do alot of surfing to find different things. I however am not that type... However, I will show Rory because he is always surfing for different things.
I think this is great!!! I can store my bookmarks at home and work. I can open them up on any computer. I also can share them with friends and family. I will use del.icio.us for sure!!!!
There are so many different types of technology out there that is wonderful!!!!! I think one that I will be using will be Google... It has great potential for me to get organized!!!!
I am thinking on starting a blog and share it with Rory and my families. This way we can keep everyone up to date on what is going on....
My neices are on MySpace so I have an account so I can see what is going on in their lives. One neice lives in Texas so it is easier to IM and use MYSpace to talk.
I think Wikis are a great idea for getting information in one place when there is many people who may have information to share.. I however, wouldn't use it for personal use... I prefer blogs, this way you get rights to people who can make changes.
I think this is great!!!! You can create a document and then have someone else make revisions. This way you don't have to look for or remember where a file is in the massive amount of folders on the H: drive. I think it is really cool on how you can see everything from the toolbar on the left side. I think this is a great resource for work!!!!
I found a few good websites. Arcaplay is online games for me and my kids... Upcoming.yahoo.com is wonderful if you are looking for something to do. It shows events in your city and surrounding areas. Our family is always looking for something fun to do and this would help find many different events we can go to!
I think this is a cool website. However, I am not on the internet serching for things. I usually am emailing or IM with friends. I don't spend much time looking at things.
I really like the concept. It was really cool. I have lots of books I would like to read, but just don't have the time. Maybe I would use this when the kids are little bit older.
I really like Google Picasa. I have a gmail and I use alot of there programs. I didn't like Flikr. I was too bulky to use.
Picasa was easier to use.
I check out podcasts and decided they are not for me. They don't interest me and with my busy schedule, it is something I wouldn't be able to enjoy. I use itunes now and love it. I use is for our Ipods and listen to radio. I was also listening to Pandora. This is really cool!!!
UTube is okay.. It gives entertainment but it isn't something I would look at alot.
All I have to say, "This is not for me.." I don't have the time or desire to keep up with everything that is going on....
Great way to keep updated on your interests without looking at it everyday to see if there is something new.
