Meet Drew Bredeson and Natalie Taylor, the final two members of the 2009 Homecoming Court!
Drew Bredeson is a senior with a double major in Political Science and Psychology. He stays busy as a member of both a fraternity and the University rowing team. Drew wants to advocate for and represent the University however he can, and sincerely thanks the school for his chance to fight for U!
Natalie Taylor is a junior majoring in Spanish. She is in Gamma Phi Beta and part of Colleges Against Cancer. Natalie cannot wait to be a part of all the excitement surrounding Homecoming this year with the brand new stadium.

Get to know Matt Pryor and Lauren Stoneberg, two of the members of the Homecoming Court for 2009!
Matt Pryor is a senior majoring in Human Resources Development with a minor in Human Resources Industrial Relations and Leadership. He currently serves as the Interfraternity Vice President of Recruitment and is the Leadership Minor Marketing and PR Associate. Matt is excited to be a part of the first homecoming court that gets to experience the fun and excitement of the TCF Bank Stadium.
Lauren Stoneberg is a senior studying Marketing. She is involved with various campus organizations and part of the Greek Community as a member of Alpha Chi Omega. Lauren is thrilled to be included in celebrating the Ultimate Homecoming with students, alumni and fellow believers of Rose Bowl dreams!
Introducing Francisco Maldonado and Thuy Duong Nguyen-Tran, this week’s featured Homecoming Court members!
Francisco Maldonado is a junior studying Physiology. He is actively involved with the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, the Circle of Giving, Minnesota’s Future Doctors, and the College of Liberal Arts Student Board. Francisco is honored to be on the Homecoming Court and humbled to have the opportunity to represent the University of Minnesota.
Thuy Duong Nguyen-Tran is a junior majoring in Biochemistry and Physiology and minoring in Leadership. She is involved in the Minnesota’s Future Doctors Program, Circle of Giving, Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, CBS Honors Program, and the President’s Distinguished Faculty Mentorship Program. Thuy is excited to share her Gopher pride and have the opportunity to represent the University of Minnesota as part of the 2009 Homecoming Court.
Meet Calvin Lammers and Michelle Holman, members of this year's 2009 Homecoming Royalty Court!
Calvin Lammers is a junior majoring in Sports Management and minoring in Studies in Cinema and Media Culture. He is on the executive board of the Sport Business Association and a member of the Sport Management Association, Minnesota Film Club, and the Fan Ambassadors. Calvin is honored to be part of the 2009 Homecoming Royalty Court and looks forward to representing the University proudly.
Michelle Holman is a senior majoring in Biochemistry and Physiology with a Spanish minor. She enjoys being involved on campus through different organizations, like Admissions Ambassadors, CBS Student Board, CBS Ambassadors, Minnesota Medical Leaders and intramurals. Michelle is excited to be involved in the 2009 Homecoming festivities, meet new people and be a part of bringing football back to campus.
Your 2009 Homecoming Royalty has been chosen! This week’s blog is the first of five posts featuring the Royalty Court. Each week a different male and female candidate will be spotlighted. This week is Dan Helvig and Jamie Wacholz. Check back over the next few weeks to get to know everyone!
Dan Helvig is a junior studying Agricultural Education with a focus on leadership and communication. Dan is an active member of numerous groups on campus including the College of Food, Agriculture and Natural Resource Science student board, St. Paul Ambassadors, the Agriculture Education Club and the FarmHouse Fraternity. He is looking forward to meeting new people and representing our great University as a member of the Homecoming Royalty Court.
Jamie Wacholz is a junior studying Strategic Communication and English. She stays busy with her role as Lambda Chapter President of Delta Gamma and membership in the Order of Omega honor society. She is extremely flattered to be a part of the Homecoming Royalty Court and looks forward to the return of Gopher Football to campus in the fall.
