'C' is for Charming , 'S' is for Stellar
It has been awhile since Homecoming headquarters has graced you with a new post, so I think we're due. Our next amazing intern is Chelsea Sowers, an extremely busy junior and marketing major who loves to travel.
Chelsea is involved with various groups on campus, especially her sorority, and to top it off, she aspires to get her pilot's license someday. Her reason? So she can take herself around the world, particularly back to Vienna, Austria where she studied last summer.
This driven gal is in charge of Royalty and Student Activities. She is responsible for overseeing everything surrounding the royalty, including leading the interviewing process and implementing new events for the new Homecoming Court as well as the 2009 King and Queen. Chelsea and her committee (which she is searching for btw, so go to homecoming.umn.edu anytime between January 25th and February 11th and APPLY!) will also be assisting with the planning of Gopherfest, and the kick-off event to start the big week Umm.. oh yea AND she is also involved in planning THE ultimate concert of the year!!
As you can see, Homecoming 2010 is shaping up to be a pretty sweet gig. Stay tuned, and don't forget, we like your comments and if you're interested in joining our team apply to become a committee member (application live soon)!
Until next time-
