Spring Into Action

Welcome back to spring semester Minnesota! As we kick off this semester, a few dedicated interns have also kicked off their planning for Homecoming 2011. Planning an event this size is no small task however, we're fortunate to have some of the best and brightest here at Homecoming Headquarters. "So who are these interns?" you may ask. Well keep checking out our blog because over the next few weeks we will be giving you a closer look at the spirited and passionate individuals working hard to bring the U yet another fantastic Minnesota Homecoming!

First Thumbnail image for IMG_0367.JPGup is Beth Youngblom, a junior majoring in Recreation, Park and Leisure Studies. When she's not busy studying (or tirelessly working to memorize every line from the film She's The Man), Beth is diving into her new position as parade coordinator. She's looking forward to carrying on a favorite Homecoming tradition and has some fresh new ideas to add this year!

Beth will be organizing the entire parade route, reviewing emcees and finding judges to create the most memorable parade yet. As talented as this young lady is - she can't do it all alone! umn.jpg
So, if you're looking for a fantastic experience and think you can handle the challenge, be on the lookout for our Homecoming Committee applications which are available until February 9th.

That's all for now Minnesota, but be sure to check back in and find out about our other amazing interns!
