Dear Lincoln Students,
My name in Ricardo Suares and I am part of Jerry Shannon?s class that supposed to talk you guys. Some things that you may want to know about me are that I was born in Trinidad, which is an island near Venezuela, in the Caribbean. I always say that I am form New York because I lived there for most of my life. I grew up in New York, living there for about 13 years. I may be able to relate to some of the things that you might be going through because New York was a tough place to grow up in. I live in a suburb that is about 20 minutes from Minneapolis and I go there just about every day. I like music and hanging out with my friends and playing sports.
I would like to know what life is like for you guys, is it tough? Is it dangerous? Are there many distractions from school? I would also like to know what kind of music you like and do you like or play any sports? It will be nice talking to you.

I also like to watch the pros. football is probably my favorite because I am the best at that. I like to draw, but I am not really good at it. I like how you are able to be creative when yu draw. I like to make music and listen to it. What kind of music do you like to listen to?

this weekis the last week of the quarter. Can you give me a tip on how to be a better student?
I think I did my best
Do you know an way to be a better stutdent
Do you know number #22or#3 that play football for the gophers or do you play?
That is really cool that you like so many different kinds of music. I don't know personally #22 or #3. I know their names. #22 is Lawerance Maroney and I have seen him with his friends in different spots on campus. I have never seen Brian Cupito (#3). But, one of my friends in my class is going to be on the team next year. And #91 (he plays defense, defensive end) is in my math class. So that is pretty cool.
Some tips that I found helpful to being a better student are:
Find a quiet place to study and make sure you understand whatever the subject is.
It is ok to ask a teacher for help, that's their job-to help you if youdon't understand.
To do well, it's really important that you clarify any uncertainty. (make sure you understand).
no matter what other kids say, attendance is important. Homework although irriatating is actually good practice for you.
I hope my advice was able to help.
