Maholy-Nagy Response

Maholy-Nagy Response

Arts 1601

After watching the piece on Maholy Nagy I was very impressed with the artist ideas on his work. Even though I wouldn’t say he was my favorite of the entire group of artist we saw, he sure caught my attention. The use of shadows was very interesting and impressive. I thought this technique really gave the pieces of work a very high quality, with out the shadows the artwork would have been very boring. The photogram work that he did was also pretty amazing. I believe using things we see and use in everyday life and then putting them in his work really helps the viewer of the artwork connect to the pieces. Overall I would suggest to anyone to take a look at this artist and enjoy for your self some of the most creative piece of artwork out there.
