Nash Gallery Response

There have been a few 'sculptures' at the Nash gallery that, thought interesting, appear somewhat confusing. First in this group is the water environment from a previous exhibit. I am not quite sure what it was supposed to do or be, although it did have many stages and was somewhat interesting to see, I just am not sure if it is something that is supposed to be viewed as an object in a moment or as something that is moving and needs to be viewed to completion. Next is another piece from a past exhibit, the hanging mobile which I believe was representative of bus routes. This piece was also interesting visually, in particular the use of counterweights to balance and hold it, but it would have been nice to know what the artist had been thinking when making it, not just the concept for the piece but the rest of what they were thinking about for it. Last up is in the current exhibit. I'm not quite sure what to call it, except that it has a lot of wire and hot-glue. At first I thought of it as some type of creature, but upon walking around it I was no longer sure what it is. It did inspire me to design another piece that I will likely never get around to making, but it was fun to think about.
