We are going to film an action movie with some of the scenes outside. We will use different techniques such as slow motion, fast motion, and special effects using final cut pro. We will use a variety of transitions between scenes and we want to use artistic and nonconventional angles when filming in order to keep out audience intrigued and entertained. We also understand the importance of lighting and its effects on the mood of the scene and just being able to see clearly what is taking place. We plan to do our best to ensure the lighting is right for each scene and will use the three-point basic lighting technique.

First of all, I think the class is going very well. I enjoy it but I also just have one suggestion. I think it would be helpful if we watched the tutorial videos ourselves and then had to demonstrate them for a test. The Photoshop presentations were helpful, but that was a lot of videos and the amount to retain from those videos is not possible unless you complete them yourself. Obviously we would not be able to do watch and practice over one hundred videos by ourselves, so I would prefer that the number of videos be limited, and then we could practice and learn all of them better.

The Walker Art Center speaks artistic volumes to onlookers even before they enter the museum. The architecture is unique and inspiring. It seems to beckon people to come and admire the artwork inside, because if the outside is so interesting and thought-provoking, one can only imagine what is inside!
I was greatly impressed not only by the building’s architecture but also the art inside. Though I struggled to understand some of the art, the exhibits were put together so meticulously it was apparent. I enjoyed the variety of mediums displayed such as video, photographs, paintings, sculptures, and many more. This variety allows visitors to see the many faces and means art can come in, which is very important for those who may not be art critics or majors.
One exhibit in particular made an impact on me. It was a video piece that was recorded in a light bulb factory in China. The artist interviewed several workers and asked them about their dreams in life and what it meant to succeed. I interpreted the work to mean that life is an art and art is life. I really liked reading the responses and took more away from that piece than any other in the museum.
