Shots?!
I'm off for my two-month check-up today. How much do you think I have grown since my last visit?

Ladies and gentlemen, place your wagers now. I'll reveal my new stats at the end.
What?!? Nobody mentioned anything about shots at this visit.

Now I'm worried. I'm pretty sure I don't like shots.
Yep, I was right. I did not like the shots one bit.

I got four shots, two in each leg. I cried at the doctor's office, I cried more at home. I do kinda dig these day-glo Band-Aids they gave me for my wounds.
This whole ordeal stressed me out.

I need to unwind.
Oh yeah.

This is the life.
By the way, I'm up to 12 pounds, 13 ounces. That puts me in the 96th percentile for weight compared to other kids my age. Even though I seem to be busting out of my onesies, I only grew 1/2 inch. That puts me at 1 foot, 10 1/2 inches. I'm hoping to hit 2 feet by my next appointment. I'm only in the 70th percentile for height, but that's still above average.

Well, that'll do it for today. See you next time!

Bouncing baby
Being cute takes a lot out of me.

After a long day of cuteness, I was exhausted.
I thought I would try to roll over.

I made it this far before I got tired and fell asleep.
I know you think I sleep an awful lot.

After my nap, I sat in my bouncer for a while. I like looking at the dangly toys. When I thrash around, they make noise.
I am having so much fun!

Bye for now!

Father's Day and a small sampling of my many expressions
Dad and I had a pretty mellow Father's Day. I hung out with him on the couch when he got home from work. As you can see, my dad is having a pretty good time. I liked it too.

After dinner, I took Dad out for some ice cream at Izzy's. I conveniently left my wallet at home so Mom had to pay. I'm a sneaky little devil.
Sitting here looking pretty is serious business.

My Dad picked out the outfit I am wearing in these shots. Can you believe he chose a dress? He got a little confused when he tried to put me in it, but he eventually figured it out.
I guess I don't mind the dress too much. I can even be persuaded to crack a smile while wearing it.

Did someone say that I look cute??
I spent some time this morning in my Pack and Play.

When I saw that Mom had the camera out again, I showed her this gummy grin.
I spend a good chunk of every day eating. It's not easy being such a glutton.

I am overwhelmed by the amount of milk I just drank. The safest thing for me to do in this situation is take a nap.
I'm starting to master the waterpail lip. This isn't my best one, but you get the drift.

My best waterpail lip features a trembly chin and some whimpering. The lip alone isn't enough to get what I want.
That'll do it for today! Despite the fact that I slept for 9 hours straight last night, I think I'm ready for another nap. I'm sure those parents of mine will whip out the camera again as soon as I'm awake. Check back soon for another update!

Hanging out
Hello, it's time for another update!

Can you believe I'm almost 6 weeks old? I'm quite good at this holding my head up business.
Today I practiced my air piano skills.

This is my rendition of "Flight of the Bumblebee." Or it could also be "Chopsticks." It's hard to say for sure.
Sometimes I like to sing along.

I was really getting into it until I tipped over.
I've actually been smiling for a few weeks now.

This is the first time it's been caught on camera. Cheese!
I don't mind sleeping in my crib at night, but I hate being away from all the action during the daytime.

Mom let me take my nap in the big bed today. She's willing to give in sometimes because I make up for it by sleeping all by myself at night for a good 5-6 hours. Pretty nice of me, eh?
If you've been keeping up with my adventures, you know that I am a very serious girl at times.

Here I am contemplating the finer points of the Pythagorean Theorem.
Ciao!

Nanna and Grandpa visit, I get some sleep
Hi there. Before the photo show, I'd like to share some details from my pediatrician visit today. I now weigh 11 lbs, 1 oz and I've grown to 22 inches. Everything seems to be in working order, especially my plumbing. I showed them just how well it worked by doing both a number one and a number two on the office floor (and my mom's shoe) after they weighed me. Believe it or not, this type of stunt isn't a frequent occurrence at this pediatrician's office. Oddly enough, I'm not ashamed of what I did.
In other news, the pictures from my Nanna and Grandpa's visit have arrived!
Here I am resting with my Nanna in my room.

Do you like the curtains? Nanna made those for me, along with lots of other stuff in my room. I have the best room in the house. I really enjoy staring at the dragonflies and ladybugs. They mesmerize me.
I'm all dressed up and ready to go to lunch with Nanna and Grandpa!

Don't think you're going to catch me wearing a dress too often. After my lunch, I spit up on the dress and had to change into something a little less "girly."
Grandpa and I enjoyed a snooze while watching golf.

You can understand why I'm sleeping, but I thought he liked golf.
Same channel, different day.

I'm thinking about calling my Grandpa "Grand-dawg" instead. What do you think?
I like snoozing with lots of different people.

Mom gave up trying to put me in my crib for this nap. I needed to snuggle.
I found my thumb. It's tasty and quite convenient.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find it since. Maybe next month I'll figure out that these hands are attached to my body.
In addition to my many trips to Target, I also stopped by the YMCA to meet my mom's co-workers.

That's Trenne holding me and Peggy making a fuss. I ate up the attention.
Here is an outtake from my blanket-modeling portfolio.

I am also modeling my Fuzzi Bunz diapers - this particular color is butter, but I also have hot pink Fuzzi Bunz.
While sitting on the couch, I thought I would show off my dance moves.

I think this one is called "the cabbage patch."
When I'm not dancing, I enjoy playing in my Elephant Activity Gym.

I stare at the toys and wiggle my arms and legs. It's pretty good exercise.

They sure do wash me a lot
Sorry for my lack of entries lately. I know I say it every time, but I have been a busy, busy girl. As many of you know, my Nanna and Grandpa were visiting from Florida last week. They really enjoyed hanging out with me and I'll post pictures from our visit as soon as Grandpa gets them to my mom and dad.
Meanwhile, please enjoy these bathtime shots. Here I am naked, wrapped in a blanket, about to get in the tub.

Do I look like I need a bath? I don't see any dirt on these pipes. On the other hand, I can work up quite a sweat when I really get going.
As much as I complain about the bathing, I secretly like it. I especially like it when they spray me with the sprayer, even though my mom says it makes a big mess.

I was not happy that the attention had to end.
But I quickly recovered from the shock and was back to my happy self.

This picture was taken about 30 seconds after the last one. I can be easy-going when the situation calls for it.
