Exersaucing
Mom and I went shopping and I got to help pick out this really cool toy.

It's an Exersaucer. I love to Exersauce!
Here is a bird's-eye view of the various toys included with my Exersaucer.

You may have noticed that it has a '"Safari" theme.
I like to spin around so that I can look at all of the different toys.

Spinning around in this thing is great Exersauce!
What do you think the "E" stands for??

Elephant? Elissa? Exersaucer?
Nooooo....

It stands for EAT! This plastic elephant is mighty tasty.
It is officially fall and I have officially outgrown all of my summer clothes. Time to break out my new 6-9 month wardrobe!

Here I am wearing a fashionable striped onesie with baby boot-cut jeans and a hot pink cardigan. Very chic.
I'm still learning to roll over. I usually make it about halfway.

Actually, this is pretty comfortable. I think I'll just stay right here for awhile...
(PS: Since I posted this blog two hours ago, I have rolled over three times, back to front. Next, I'll crawl! Watch out Mom and Dad.)

Baby beach bum
I'm back from my Florida vacation! I had a great time, but it's good to be home.
I spent a lot of time grabbing my feet on this trip.

Sometimes I can even get my toes in my mouth. I'm very flexible.
Nanna and Grandpa took me to the beach by their house. We were going to go to the Gulf of Mexico, but we ran out of time. Here we are at the Choctawhatchee Bay instead.

We had a lovely time gazing at the sunset while the wind blew through our hair. (I'm going to resist the urge to crack a joke about Grandpa's hair. Hee hee.)
Mom and I posed in front of these little palm trees.

There weren't any coconuts. I checked.
After we visited with Nanna and Grandpa, Mom and I drove to Jacksonville to visit Paula. We spent some time at the beach.
I did some sunbathing in my bikini.

Dad thinks this bikini is too revealing, but I think it is perfectly acceptable beachwear. It is much more modest than some of the other bathing suits we saw at the beach.
After I baked in the sun for awhile, I needed to cool off in the Atlantic Ocean.

I was a little nervous about the waves, but my mom helped me out.
Where the heck did this water come from? This beach was dry a minute ago.

Do I like it? Do I hate it? I'm not sure.
Sitting in the sand is okay.

Even if I do get sand in my bikini bottoms.
The ocean was fun and all, but the best part of going to the beach was sacking out on the beach blanket.

It's a rough life, but somebody has to lead it.

Hello from Florida!
I am having a great time in Florida so far! I rode on an airplane for the first time and Mom said I was a lovely traveling companion. I hardly cried at all.
Nanna and Grandpa are putting a swimming pool in the backyard. It's still just a muddy hole, so Mom and I went swimming next door instead.

I outgrew my Winnie the Pooh swimsuit, so I wore my stars and stripes suit today. (Just between you and me, the Pooh swimsuit was turning into a thong!)
Today Mom introduced me to jumping.

I'm not sure how I feel about this.
Wheeeeeeeeeee!

Let's do it again!
After our swim, it was time to get out of the pool.

I'm always a little bummed about getting out of the water. I wish I could have stayed in the pool, but I had a lot of other things to do today.
Nanna and Grandpa have a dog named "Stretch."

We took a few minutes to get to know each other.
We're going to be great friends.

I already weigh more than him.
Don't worry, Dad, I'm still doing Baby Jacuzzi on the road. I miss my blue bathtub, but the kitchen sink is about the right size for me.

I got a little hungry and thought I'd chomp down on Mom's finger. Mom says I have very good bite considering I don't have any teeth yet.
That's it for this edition of Eat, Sleep, Poop. We have another busy day planned tomorrow, including a trip to the beach! Check back soon for more of my Florida vacation pictures!

Laundry day
My mom and dad took me for a bike ride.

My mom was pretty worried the whole time that my dad was being unsafe.
As you can see, I made it home in one piece. Unfortunately, I worked up quite a sweat with all the biking. Time for some clean clothes.

I'm going to help mom with the laundry.
This laundry basket is made from a lovely wicker.

It fits me perfectly.
Alright mom, let's get down to business.

Hold on! Here's one more to add to the pile. Ewwwww, stinky!
Ok, laundry's done! Here's where my help is needed.

My dad taught me "the smell test" for determining how clean my laundry is.
This one'll do.

I think I'm pretty smart for 4 months old, doing my own laundry and all.

Fun in the crib
I got a new toy. It's the crib-mount model.

It plays music and makes funny sounds. When I kick it, it plays a new song and it lights up.
I get especially excited when it plays Frère Jacques.

I think it's because I'm good at speaking French. My dad is teaching me. By the way, it's the camera angle that makes me look like a conehead. In real life, my head is perfectly spherical, just like my dad's.
In other news, look what I found.

Toes!
What the heck?

It's a matching pair!
Let's take a closer look.

Oh yeah, now I see. These things are weird.
If I could stretch just a little bit...get in my mouth!

Oh oh. I think I went too far. I probably should have started with some warm-up stretches. That's going to hurt in the morning.
Au revoir mes amis!
