Beating the heat at the MN Children's Museum
It was another hot weekend here in Minnesota. Mom, Dad and I decided to head to the Children's Museum to cool off.
It wasn't too warm in the museum for me to try on this bunny suit.
Hippity hop!
Here I go!
Here I am peeking out of this couch/rabbit hole.
It was fun.
I also crawled through this hollow log several times.
As you can see from my expression, I'm a little concerned about the critters that live in this log.
I got over it and had a pretty good time in the end.
Here I am being quite silly.
I also crawled inside this empty turtle shell.
It makes a nice little hide-out for someone my size.
After Earth World, I did some grocery shopping.
I like to make sure that the produce meets my high standards before selecting it.
The floor in the store looked like a great big checkerboard.
Check mate!
Finally, I perused the canned goods section and selected a nice vegetable soup.
You can see how long my hair is getting from this picture. Almost long enough for pigtails!
That's all for now. See you again soon!

Keeping cool in the neighborhood pool
It sure was hot last weekend. Mom and Dad took me to the neighborhood wading pool to cool off.

I bet you're thinking I look pretty cool in my shades. Don't be fooled...it was in the 90's and I was very much in need of a dip.
Whoo boy, this water is cold.

It's going to take a little getting used to.
Yes, this is quite nice.

Excuse me while I play a little air piano.
I got a little excited and ended up going under water.

Mom was right there to pull me up. I actually kind of liked it.
See?

It's actually quite fun hanging out in the pool.
I really like to get my face wet.

First, I take a breath and close my mouth really tight.
Then, I close my eyes...

...and take the plunge!
Then I come up for some air.

That's refreshing!
The neighborhood pool is pretty shallow.

I can stand with a little help from Mom.
After I cooled off in the pool, I sat in this airplane for a bit.

It was ok. I'm not really impressed at the moment.
The swings, on the other hand, are much more appealing to me.

That's more like it...wheeeeeeeeeeee!!! I'll see you again soon!

Hey good lookin', whatcha got cookin'?
I'm now the proud owner of my very own kitchen.

It's just my size, and I couldn't be happier!
I'm having a lot of fun in my new kitchen.

It's perfect for practicing my standing.
What the heck is this??

It seems that Fisher Price has taken the liberty of putting a fake dinner on the bottom of this frying pan. This appears to be some sort of fish. Mahi mahi, anyone?
Oh dear.

I seem to have dropped some things.
Well, it was nice chatting with you, but I must get back to cooking dinner.

P.S. Mom says I have the cutest little buns. Tee hee.

Happy Belated Birthday, America!
As I mentioned above, Happy Belated Birthday, America!

Mom and Dad (and Milton) took me to Minnehaha Park to celebrate America's 230th birthday.
Mom and I got a little nutty.

I love being upside down. What can I say? I'm a thrill seeker.
As you may have noticed from the previous entry, I spent some time in a garden.

This photo was taken in Longfellow Garden, to be exact. That's the Longfellow House in the background.
Going to the park is fun, but I think I've had enough.

Can we go now?

Yakking on the phone and looking really cute
Um, excuse me, but I'm on the phone.

I'll be with you in just a moment.
OK, Mom. I hear you.

Can't you see that I'm busy talking to my boyfriend?
Oh, it's for you.

Try not to talk too long. I have some important calls to make.
It is not as easy as it looks to talk on two phones at once.

I'm having a little bit of difficulty with the cell phone, but I'll figure it out soon enough.
I have a new toy. It's a bunch of wooden beads on a colorful wire.

I like it. It takes a lot of concentration, though.
What do you think of my new summer dress?

My Nanna made it for me. I happen to think it makes me look extra cute.
I also have my very own store.

That will be $2.37 please.
After dinner, we walked to Minnehaha Park and I did some swinging.

I sure do like to swing! Don't be fooled by my white-knuckled grip. I was having a blast.
Here's a picture of me with my dad.

Mostly I just wanted you to see that my really cute summer outfit has a matching hat.
That's all for now! Today Mom is going to dress me in a special patriotic outfit for the 4th of July and we are going to fire up the grill. Anytime I look extra-cute, my parents seem to go crazy with the camera, so you can expect some more pictures later this week. Happy Independence Day!
