Happy Birthday, Oliver!
Oliver celebrated his first birthday a few days ago. Coincidentally, I celebrated a half birthday on the same day. We had a little party for him tonight.
Surprisingly, he didn't mind wearing his fancy party hat.
Oliver had his very own birthday cake. Mom says that it must be the angle of the camera because she can't imagine that she would have made such a lopsided cake.
At first he wasn't quite sure what to do with it.
He took a few tentative bites....
It didn't take long before he started grabbing the frosting by the handful.
I think the baby brother enjoys birthday cake. I also think the baby brother is going to need a bath.
Happy Birthday, Beeba!

Happy Halloween!
We had a lovely Halloween. The weather was unusually warm.
Perfect for a monkey!
No monkey should be without a really big banana.
Fortunately I have a little brother that was willing to dress the part.
Here we are together.
Aren't we cute?
There were several outtakes during the costume photo session.
I can't resist doing a silly face when the mood strikes.
Whooooooooa!
I'm still not really sure how this happened.
While I was at a party at my preschool, Oliver went trick or treating at an assisted living facility.
One of the residents was giving out cookies as big as his head. He was pretty happy that mom didn't take it away.
This was my first year trick-or-treating and I had a blast. We practiced our trick-or-treating at preschool, so I knew exactly what to do.
I even let Oliver help me count my loot.

Jack O. Lantern
We carved my first pumpkin this year!
I had a very important job of scooping out the pumpkin guts.
This job clearly requires a big spoon.
Boy, this is a lot of work.
Ta da! All done!
We make a nice pair, don't you think?
Mom caught a little bit of our pumpkin carving session on video. Enjoy:
