Blog Prompt #3- Environmental Sustainability: A Mixed Medium Idea

Environmental sustainability can be looked at and dealt with in many different ways. Where this idea effects me the most is in the idea of bringing the environment back into major cities and into the buildings themselves. This by definition is somewhat of a contradiction but in other ways seems to be one of the few ways to make a city complete...

In an attempt to show some of my ideas on environmental sustainability within cities and in general through mixed media here is what I have come up with. This is only a start in that I feel that this task like so many others has no definitive end.

"For the true nature of things, if we rightly consider, every green tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold and silver." -Martin Luther, German priest and scholar

"The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity...and some scarce see nature at all. But to eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself." -William Blake, English visionary, mystic, poet, painter, & engraver

"Nature is the true revelation of the deity to man. The nearest green field is the inspired page from which you may read all that is needful for you to know." -Arthur Conan Doyle, Sr., Scottish writer
