Was the Empire Really That Evil?

Even if you're not a big fan of Star Wars, this article is a fun read. It argues that the Empire was not as evil as the movies made it seem. It's fun to see people debating about worlds and characters that don't exist (and this goes beyond nerds, I had to read a few essays of this type about Shakespeare's characters). Read "The Case for the Empire" here.

I am not convinced with this guy... But it certainly is interesting to see someone arguing about the goodness or evilness of characters that only exist in someone else's imagination.

Well he should make a redo on this since III is out. Second, there was slavery at the Empire's time, i do agree with the Senate problem though, size carries limits. fourth he was right about the arrogance of the Jedi, that really is a problem. Yet this guy really has cracked the movies, just he's a bit short of a conclusion since he is lacking Episode III canon. Good read anyway
