About Humility

A quick quote.

Humility doesn't mean you think less of yourself but that you think of yourself less.

Something to keep in mind in a world where pride seems to play such a big role.

Hmm, quite a quote, would be nice to have more quotes, I always enjoy those. Yet it's quite hard to be a humble person when pride wanders all around the area. I don't like pride that much, yet it's the sin we can't seem to shake off.

Well put.

Does this pride refer to anything in particular? Or you're just saying?

Interesting quote. Although I think 'thinking of yourself less' has more to do with unselfishness than with humility. Humility is more about thinking what you should think of yourself, no more and no less.

At least the pride that I'm referring to is not the pride that says "I'm happy with who I am"; it is the pride that says "I only want to be better than you". This competitive pride can be poisonous. I don't think being competitive is bad (I'm very competitive myself), but the pride I'm worried about is when you only do things because you want to fill up your ego.
