A Shakopee woman died in a car crash on Wednesday while exiting a highway, according to the Star Tribune.
Trachanda Hamilton, 26, was in the car with her 4-year-old son Elijah, when her vehicle slid off off the road and hit a tree, according to the Star Tribune.
Police say the crash occur on the rainy road around 5 p.m. on the ramp from Hwy 101 to southbound County Road 21, according to the Star Tribune.
Her son Elijah suffered minor injuries and he has been taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, according to the Star tribune.
Police said they were both wearing safety restraints, according to the Star Tribune.
