My thoughts about same sex marriage

I don't believe in same sex marriage. I feel that it is wrong. Although I think it is wrong I dont believe anyone that is married to someone of the same sex should be punished or thought of less. This is mainly because I grew up going to church every Sunday and I think that everyone makes their mistakes and that god will forgive them in the end. I dont think that it is right but I also dont think less of anyone that is that way and I would still be their friends. What do you think?

i did a debate on same sex marriage last year for one of my classes, and never mind whether it is "right" or "wrong," but i think that it should be legal. it seems that the main reason that people think that same sex marriage should be illegal only has religious reasons to back it up, and you can't use religous beliefs to draft the laws; church and state are made to be separate.

I agree with the previous comment. Homosexuals should be able to get the same benefits as a married couple would. It's not fair that they can't because of the way they are, or if you're religious 'how god made them.' If you are to take a religious background on this topic, it's proven that homosexuals have a different brain makeup then heterosexuals, so 'god did make them that way' and it wasn't by their own choosing.

Wow, I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with the author. I am totally for same sex marraige. It's not going to interfere with my marraige or any one else who is planning to get married to someone of the opposite sex, so why should any one care? The government and religion are two different things and sometimes it seems that people forget that. A couple is a couple. If they love each other, than let them be. The racism is sickening sometimes.
