A little tidbit

I just wanted to state something, and it really has nothing to do with our class. I was thinking that I wish that the U or the colleges within it offered a more direct course towards our degrees. While I completely understand we need a wide base with different types of courses, I wish that those who knew what they want to do for a career could take a more direct path. For example, if people are interested in the environment offer a chemistry class that deals with environmental chemistry (or something else like that) Well thats just my opinion, but definetly let me know what you think guys :)

i can understand where you are coming from, however i think that its a good idea to have more of a variety of classes for your schedule, even if you know exactly what it is that you want to study. however, i think that even if someone knows what they want to do, i think sometimes a semester taken with full credits of one directed study would get possibly stressful or boring after even the first semester of studying the topic. with a range of study, it can balance out the work load and not make a person go crazy (i think id go crazy if i had 4 classes of all science-based, or any other subject based for that matter, classes).
