1. There are many various genre conventions to which I will adhere. All of these genres are important to writing a successful paper. One of these genres is writing in active voice. Writing in active voice is important because it makes your paper sound better. It is also important to my paper because if I don’t write in active voice I will end up with a lower grade. Another genre is writing a paper arguing for a specific side of a controversy. It is important to write a paper arguing for a specific side, because this is more credible that say writing a novel with one of the themes having to do with the controversy. Another genre is that I am using quotations and visuals from other more credible people to make my paper more credible. These sources are important because without them all your information would be speculations that you made and you don’t know anything so it is better to use credible sources to give you information. Another genre is that I wrote a history for both sides of the argument before I argued or convinced or persuaded. This is important to give the readers a background on the topic and the arguments for it before you start hitting them with all the persuasiveness of your paper.
2. To write a successful paper you must also be creative in your method of persuasion. One way I will be creative is to use creative sources, like charts or pictures having something to do with my controversy. Also, I will come up with new and inventive arguments for my old and dull controversy. Maybe I will throw in a story to make it exciting.
