The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has created a Financial Aid Comparision Shopper website to help students understand financial aid awards from different colleges and universities.  This is also a great site to get "plain-language answers to your questions about credit cards, mortgages, credit scores, and more".  Find it at consumerfinance.gov

Financial Aid is set to disburse January 4, 2012.  Please note that your file must be complete in order for your aid to pay into your account.  Good luck Spring Semester!

Yes, they really do have a day for everything...October 19 is Financial Aid Professional's Day!  Have you thanked your financial aid officer today?
"The super committee will evaluate Obama's plan, as it attempts to find a way to cut $1.5 trillion in spending. The White House and Congressional committees have until Oct. 14 to present their proposals to the committee, and the super committee has until Thanksgiving to produce a plan. If lawmakers fail to reach a final agreement by Dec. 23, cuts will take place automatically across all government agencies."   (NASFAA, September 2011)   Click here for more info.
