The 36th Annual Ag-Arama event is set to be held on January 28 - 29, 2011. This year's theme is "Country Strong." It is hosted by the Agriculture and Natural Resources Department. Main events include "contests for students in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Horticulture beginning on Friday, January 28 at noon" (Tollefson, 2011, http://blog.lib.umn.edu/umcweb/news/2011/01/36th-annual-ag-arama-will-be-c.html) and a chili feed on Friday evening at 5:00 pm in UTOC. Starting on Saturday morning at 8:30 am - 12:30 pm are the animal showmanship contests, ag industries show from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, picnic style lunch at 12:30 pm, coronation at 1:00 pm, log splitting and crosscut saw contests at 2:15 pm, and ending the evening wtih a social and a dance at the Crookston Eagles Club. Social is from 5:30 - 7:00 pm with the dance to follow.
