Minnesota, Crookston was led by Amber Meyer (OH, 6-2, JR, Paxton, Neb.) who set a match and career-high with 31 kills. She added 10 defensive digs and three block assists. Shannon Cologna (S, 5-6, JR, Peoria, Ariz.) tallied 52 assists. Her season-high of 57 assists came against SCSU on September 26. Slepicka earned a match-high 28 defensive digs in her record setting performance.
St. Cloud was led by Kayla Tschida's 21 kills and .413 (21K-2E-46TA) attack percentage. Lauren Cipperly tallied 39 assists and Chelsea Nagle led the squad with 26 defensive digs.
The Golden Eagles are 6-23 overall and 3-14 in the NSIC while the Huskies fall to 7-24 overall and 3-16 in the NSIC. Minnesota, Crookston travels to Marshall, Minn. on November 10 to battle the Mustangs of Southwest Minnesota State. First serve is set for 7 p.m.. The team returns home on November 13 and 14 to close out the 2009 season. The team celebrates Parent's Night on Friday and Senior Night on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. and 4 p.m. in Lysaker Gymnasium.
