(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team returns to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action on Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30 when they travel to the University of Mary and Northern State University respectively. Both games tip-off at 8 p.m.
The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 3-14 and NSIC record of 0-11 after dropping games to Upper Iowa University (52-71) and Winona State University (43-89) at home this past weekend. U of M, Crookston is led by Damarius Cruz (Fr, G, Plymouth, Minn.) who is averaging 17.7 (99-for-227) points per game.
Golden Eagles vs. University of Mary Friday, January 29 8:00 p.m.
The Golden Eagles will face the Marauders in Bismarck, N.D. on Friday. The University of Mary holds an overall record of 9-7 and NSIC record of 5-4 after dropping games at the University of Minnesota Duluth (69-74) and Bemidji State University (59-81) this past weekend. They are led by Anthony Moody who is averaging 19.1 points (114-for-242) and 4.1 rebounds per game. Eric Erdmann is averaging 16.2 points (94-for-185) and 5.4 rebounds per game.
Golden Eagles vs. Northern State University Saturday, January 30 8:00 p.m.
This game in Aberdeen, S.D. will be a rematch of the November 29 NSIC Holiday Hoopsfest contest where the Golden Eagles defeated the Wolves 80-73 in Sioux falls, S.D. Northern State University has an overall record of 8-10 and NSIC record of 4-7 after defeating Concordia University-St. Paul (81-60) and losing to St. Cloud State University (64-66) at home this past weekend. They are led by Mitch Boeck who is averaging 27.8 points (87-for-204) and 3.1 rebounds per game. Derek Hoellein is averaging 27.6 points per game (69-for-159). Colin Pryor is averaging 21.6 points (74-for-133) and six rebounds per game.
