(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team opens the 2010 regular season on Thursday, September 2 at 7 p.m. (C.S.T.) when they travel to Rensselaer, Ind. to face St. Joseph's College in a non-conference match. After a day off, the Golden Eagles travel to Marion, Ind. to face Indiana Wesleyan University in a non-conference match on Saturday, September 4 at 6 p.m. (C.S.T.)
U of M, Crookston has played two exhibition games defeating Jamestown College 2-0 on August 22 and losing to Minot State University 2-0 on August 29.
Golden Eagles @ St. Joseph's College Thursday, September 2 7 p.m. (C.S.T.)
The Pumas open the 2010 regular season after playing two exhibition games. They finished the 2009 season with an overall record of 3-14-1 and Great Lakes Valley Conference (GVLC) record of 2-12-1. Stephanie Wiethop is St. Joseph's top returning player having scored four goals and added one assist for nine points.
Golden Eagles @ Indiana Wesleyan University Saturday, September 3 6 p.m. (C.S.T.)
The Wildcats have an overall record of 1-0-0 after defeating Bethel University of Tennessee 4-1. They host Lindsey Wilson College on Tuesday, August 31. Kelsey Johnston and Megan Marshall are Indiana Wesleyan's top returning players having each scored 36 points last season. Johnston scored 14 goals and added eight assists while Marshall scored 13 goals and added 10 assists.
