Sustainability Spotlight featured Alumnus Ben Sullivan '12 and work with Minnesota GreenCorps

sustainability spotlight _2.jpgA "Sustainability Spotlight" held at noon on Tuesday, July 3, featured the work of Alumnus Ben Sullivan '12 with the Minnesota GreenCorps. Launched in 2009, Minnesota GreenCorps is a statewide program to help preserve and protect Minnesota's environment while training a new generation of environmental professionals.

The presentation by Sullivan, who majored in natural resources, included work on Crookston InMotion, Earth Day, Club Kid, B3 benchmarking, stormwater outfall water testing, and a new bicycle commuter program.

Chancellor Fred Wood joined a number of faculty, staff, and students for the presentation by Sullivan. It was a great opportunity for fielding questions and engaging in discussion about issues surrounding sustainability on the Crookston campus.
