Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (GLBT) Ally Day was held on campus on Monday, October 22. Allies of the GLBT community were encouraged to show their support for a safe and inclusive environment on campus for all community members.
An ally to the GLBT community is an individual who works to support and affirm GLBT people while challenging traditional notions of gender and sexuality that are unnecessarily restrictive and oppressive.
Sponsored by Student Engagement and Student Activities, a table in the student center had ally stickers and information pamphlets available. For additional information, contact Lisa Samuelson, director of student activities at firstname.lastname@example.org.
