UMC Students Experience Alternative Spring Break in Spain

Spain trip comp.jpgFive UMC Students are on their alternative Spring Break to Salamanca, Spain. The students and staff include: Ryan Bart, Jessica Stone, Justin Bennek, Anthony Fish, Megan Luxford, and Lynne Mullins, faculty advisor.

The students are taking Global Seminar 3000 in Spain as an alternative international spring break vs. going to Florida on a more traditional break.

They are taking 20 hours of language training, staying with host families, and taking in Spanish culture. This includes, learning how to dance, taking tours of Madrid and Toledo, horse back riding, going to a bull farm, and of course eating great food from the country.

They are doing this for one UMC upper level credit and are guided by Lynne Mullins, assistant professor, Liberal Arts and Education Department.
