Manure has been used as a nutrient source for crop production for many centuries. However, only in the last few decades have we started to fully understand the chemistry involved in manure nutrient availability.

University of Minnesota Extension is leading a 2013 Minnesota Statewide High Tunnel Conference, to be held Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 12 and 13, at The Arrowwood Lodge at Brainerd Lakes in Baxter, Minn. High tunnels, also called high hoops or hoop houses, are temporary structures that extend the growing season.

Farmland prices on the rise

As farmland prices around the state of Minnesota have continued to increase over the past 20 years, it has left many farmers wondering if and when the farmland bubble may burst.
