Do schools contribute to childhood obesity? Research at the University of Minnesota suggests it’s possible. According to a study of food-related practices at 16 Twin Cities urban and suburban middle schools, School of Nursing researcher Martha Kubik, for the first time, found a link between certain school-wide food practices and the body weight of students.
