Joining forces with U researchers, the Blue Earth River Basin Initiative’s Third Crop Initiative recently received the prestigious Minnesota Environmental Initiative award in the Land Use category. Dean Current, program director for the U’s Center for Integrated Natural Resources and Agricultural Management, says the Third Crop Initiative promotes diversified land-use systems, benefiting farmers and the environment.
